Equals in Ministry - Equals in Life

Rev. Jack and Rev. Liz Miller -

Rev. Jack and Rev. Liz met at church while both were working with the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) program.  They developed a strong friendship; at the time Jack was a candidate for the priesthood, and Liz was a vowed nun.  Both had grown children and neither planned to marry again.  God had different plans for them.  After leaving the Roman Church and entering the Holy Orders of an independent Catholic community, both served as deacons at each other’s ordination in November of 2010.  They were married the following February by the archbishop of their jurisdiction.  Rev. Liz was later ordained to the priesthood and the couple became a unique entity as married priests.  Rev. Jack and Rev. Liz joined the Ecumenical Catholic Communion (ECC) in 2016 and are currently retired and living in Mount Vernon, Washington. Rev. Jack and Rev. Liz adopted two children out of Foster Care (one as an adult) and have a houseful of fur-babies.
